Time to Talk Day

Time to Talk Day

Thursday 3rd February is Time to Talk Day; this day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation.

Time to Talk Day is all about creating change amongst friends, family, communities and workplaces when it comes to our mental health. Conversations to do with this can often be daunting however, they are incredibly important. It offers a chance for everyone to be open and honest about ways they are feeling and any support they may need. It also gives you the opportunity to listen to others and their needs.

Run UK wide by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness in England, in partnership with Co-op. Scottish Association for Mental Health and See me in Scotland. Inspire and Change Your Mind in Northern Ireland and Time to Change Wales. All encouraging the nation to start conversations about mental health.

Conversations about mental health reduce stigma, working towards an environment where talking about your mental health is not something to be ashamed of. Studies show that one in four of us will experience mental health problems at some point. Therefore, encouraging conversations about mental health helps towards a kinder future.

Start conversations with loved ones, what would you want to share? How would you want them to support you? don’t forget to listen to what they have to say too.

A conversation on this day has the power to change and save lives.

You are not alone.
