Arranging My Own Care

We are committed to supporting your wishes and for many that is to be able to stay safely in the comfort of your own home. We will support you in remaining as independent as possible and help you maintain your comfortable routines and lifestyle, all in familiar surroundings. Your quality of life means a lot to us and is a priority.

Whether you are looking for help, companionship or support at home with personal care, we will be there for you every step of the way and we will do our best to find the right carer or support worker for your needs. We ensure your dedicated professional will have the correct criminal record checks, known as a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS check), referencing and employment checks. We make sure that all our carers have what you need so we provide them with training such as:

Safeguarding, Infection Control, First Aid and Health and Safety, including specialist training such as: Dementia Care, Learning or Physical Disabilities.

We take care of paying for your support; your time is valuable to us so you don’t have to worry about uncomfortable financial conversations.

We put you in direct control of your care; our professionals are focused on person-centred care to ensure the right support for you and things are done the way you like them. We’re not here to tell you what to do, we are here to help you when you need it.

Arranging Care for Someone Else

We understand how difficult arranging care and support can be for someone else and we are here to support and guide you through what can often be quite an emotional experience.

We put you in direct control of the care and support we provide to ensure things are done the way you like them. We will respect your requests on behalf of the person receiving care and work collaboratively with you and your loved one to ensure you have the right person for you.

We can provide support with:

  • Help around the home – providing a range of care and companionship services from within the individuals own home to create a safe and familiar environment. We aim to empower them to live the lifestyle you and your loved one are comfortable with

  • Meal preparation – preparing and cooking tasty nutritious meals to keep your loved one active and healthy throughout the day

  • Housekeeping – Support Workers can help ensure the surroundings are clean and tidy; assisting with things like laundry, changing bed linen, and general cleaning. We believe ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable environment is key to delivering outstanding care

  • Live-In Care – Support Workers will move in with your family member to care for them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so they can stay living at home in an environment they know and love

  • Companionship – our carers provide kind, warm-hearted companionship care for those liable to become lonely. We will work with any specific requests or preferences you might have to ensure the Support Worker is the perfect fit. We aim to provide consistent companionship, and will provide a familiar face; someone who can truly form a bond with your loved one

Halo have been excellent in providing support for our 94-year-old mother-in-law.

The responsive way in which they have endeavoured to ensure that we have a suitable qualified and suitably adaptable carer to meet our needs has been immense. They have been responsive to our changing needs and helped establish a routine which has been of great value in providing myself and my wife with the facility to take a break from our caring responsibilities.
