Improving Your Life

Improving Your Life

Improving your life doesn’t have to be about making one grand gesture. Instead, it’s something you can constantly work on by changing one or two things you do each day. Small, seemingly insignificant choices that over time will lead to larger gains.

Here are our 6 top tips, for more tips on how to improve your life:

Develop consistent routines – you can do this by gradually adding something new to your routine each day until you are happy with the way it is for the current point in your life. For example, if you want to start waking up early you could set your alarm to go off earlier and earlier each day until you are happily at the desired time.

Make your meals and eat your lunch away from your desk – By doing this you can let your mind rest and wonder away from any tasks that you are progressing through. Letting yourself focus on what you are eating so you do not rush it.

Revisit your goals – Having reminders on your phone could be a good way to do this, by revisiting your goals you can see if you are still in line with them or if they are right for you at this point in your life. We also suggest writing them down, by doing this you are putting them out there, making them real. If you have difficulties completing goals, you can always reward yourself after completing them. If you have a goal that is simply just to focus on work then after the day is over, you can reward yourself with something you like. Such as watching a film.

Get out more – This helps with grounding yourself and letting your energy and focus stray away from any difficulties that the day could have presented. Not forgetting that getting at least 15 minutes a day of sunlight is beneficial for our health.

Watch a TED talk – TED talks are full of a lot of motivational people and stories on the best ways to get the most out of your life and to build your confidence.

“I used the people who were telling me that I couldn’t do this, to motivate me. I used their negativity to light my fire to keep going. Use that. Use that. Use that negativity that you have in your life to make yourself better, because I guarantee you – you will win.” Lizzie Velasquez
