Description: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Specialist Mentor – Mental Health (SM-MH) to join our team. As an SM-MH, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being. This role offers the flexibility to work according to your availability.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Face-to-Face Support: Deliver personalized, face-to-face support sessions to individuals with mental health challenges.
  • Assessment and Support Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals’ mental health needs, develop personalized support plans, and monitor progress.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, interventions, and progress.

Membership Requirement:

To be eligible for this role, candidates must be a member of a recognized professional body, such as the British Psychological Society (BPS), British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), or a similar organization. The full list of eligible organisations are as listed:

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant mental health qualification (e.g., psychology, social work, counselling)
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Empathy, compassion, and a positive attitude
  • Strong understanding of mental health issues and treatment approaches
