What is being done about the wellbeing of doctors? 

The wellbeing of health and social care workers should always be a priority within the health and social care industry however this is not always the case. The wellbeing of health and social care workers has only recently been brought to the attention of governments and the public around the world since COVID-19 and the pandemic struck the world, when added pressure significantly impacted health and social care workers.  

What is wellbeing? 

Wellbeing is the state of contentment reached by keeping a positive outlook on day-to-day life, taking steps to ensure that your outlook stays this way.  

In order to keep good wellbeing, you or the people you know will need to do one or more of the following… 

  • Stay active 
  • Stay connected – with yourself, others and the world around you 
  • Share forward 
  • Learn something new 
  • Eat well 
  • Prioritise yourself  

Factors other than working environment that could be negatively impacting your mental and physical health:

  • Social media 
  • What you do in your spare time  
  • Your past experiences  
  • Your current environment or areas that you spend a lot of time in

You can also book in person appointments at their office – Burton House, Hookstone Oval, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG2 8QE this option is free of charge and offers support for those who are struggling from grief, trauma and emotional support.

  • 9 am – 5 pm  
  • Monday – Friday  
  • Evening appointments also available several days a week 

Shout – this option is available 24/7 and all you have to do is text SHOUT to 85258. This service offers support for a variety of different topics. All conversations are confidential.
