A Spotlight on Chesterfield

A Spotlight on Chesterfield

What’s it really like to be a Support Worker?

If you’re looking for a role where you can empower others, build meaningful relationships and see the difference your work makes every day, our Support Worker vacancy in Chesterfield could be exactly what you’re looking for.

What is the role about?

As a Support Worker in Chesterfield, no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting vulnerable adults within their local communities, including individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and a range of support needs, to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Being a Support Worker is about much more than providing practical care. It’s about building trust, encouraging confidence and helping people achieve the things that matter most to them. You might be supporting someone to develop everyday living skills, helping them access local community services or providing emotional support when they need it.

Every person you support has their own goals, interests and abilities. Your role is to recognise these, encourage independence and help people feel valued, respected and supported in their daily lives.

What can you expect?

At Halo Staffing, we believe your work should fit around your life, not the other way around. This flexible-hours role gives you the opportunity to find shifts that suit your availability and fit around your existing commitments.

Whether you already have experience in health and social care or are looking to develop your skills, you’ll receive full training alongside ongoing support from experienced Support Workers and our friendly office team. Previous experience in a support setting is desirable, but it’s not essential. What matters most is your attitude, reliability and genuine enthusiasm for helping others.

When you join Halo Staffing, you’ll also benefit from:

  • Competitive pay of £12.80–£19.20 per hour.
  • Flexible working to suit your availability.
  • Full training and ongoing support.
  • Paid holiday and company pension.
  • Quick and easy DBS checks.
  • Opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career.
  • A supportive team that values your individual needs and ambitions.
  • A guaranteed interview for applicants with a disability who meet the minimum requirements for the vacancy.

You’ll need to be willing to travel to and around the Chesterfield area. A driving licence is desirable, but not essential.
