Aim: To be able to care for and assist individuals with being as comfortable as possible during palliative and end-of-life care.
Objectives:
By successfully completing this course you will be able to:
- Describe what palliative care is
- List 3 reasons an individual may require palliative care
- Describe the steps and processes involved when performing palliative care
- Describe what end-of-life care is
- Explain the steps and processes involved when performing end-of-life care
- Describe how you can help relieve the symptoms of an individual in the last weeks of their life
- Describe at least 3 actions you can take to help you cope emotionally when caring for individuals who are approaching the end of their life
