    • Describe the cycle of infection
    • Demonstrate how to maintain basic hand hygiene
    • To know what constitutes PPE, name five items of PPE, and be able to describe when it must be worn
    • Understand the steps involved in safe handling and disposal of contaminated waste in a care setting
    • Describe the things you can do to prevent the spread of infection
