Description

Welcome to the Halo Staffing course on Learning Disability Awareness.

We begin this course with an explanation of learning disability and describe how is it different to a learning difficulty.

We then list at least 3 categories and 10 types of learning disabilities.

This is followed by an explanation of Profound and multiple learning disability (PMLD).

The next topic covers the effects of learning disability on an individual and their family.

We then list at least 3 pieces of legislation relevant to learning disability.

The following two topics are about the how best to support people with learning disabilities.

We conclude the course with a description of the role of partners in care and support of people who suffer from learning disability.
