Welcome to the Halo Staffing eLearning course on – Using and managing data.

We begin this course with a description of the importance of data in the health and social care sector.

We will then list the various types of data, how it can be collected, kept up-to-date and shared using technology.

At this point we will list all the relevant legislations in the UK.

Having done that, we will explain the concept of confidentiality and who is be allowed to handle such information, list the circumstances in which sharing the relevant and necessary information takes priority over confidentiality.

The next section will explain why people have a right to review and make choices about how their information is used.

The next topic of discussion will be about the importance of recording care information in an accurate and timely manner using technology.
