Description

Welcome to the Halo Staffing eLearning course on Work Stations. In this course, we will go through everything you’ll need to know to be able to set up an effective workstation.

The first section will be on working safely when using a workstation.

After that, we’ll look at assessing your workstation, and the various checks that should be done to ensure that it is as safe and healthy to use as possible.

Following that will be your routine, and the breaks that you should be taking.

Finally, we’ll touch on your eyes and your eyesight.

Is this for me? 

This course has been carefully designed for carers, support workers, nurses and managers who want to learn more about workstations. Completing this course will ensure that you are fully up to date with relevant content to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in your field.  

Why should I take this course? 

You should take this course if it’s necessary for you or your team to keep people safe and if it’s important for you to set up workstations that do not negatively affect your health. Keeping in line with Skills for Care and the key legislation such as the Health and Safety Regulations and the Care Act 2014. 

What will I learn? 

This course will provide you and/or your team with an understanding of how to effectively set up a workstation, how to assess your workstation, what can be done to ensure that it is as safe and healthy as possible, what your routine is and what breaks you should be taking. You will also cover your eyes and eyesight.
