Welcome to the Halo Staffing Care Workforce Pathway eLearning course on the importance of health, safety and wellbeing of everyone,
We will begin this course by establishing your own responsibilities, and the responsibilities of others with regards to health and safety.
We will then inform you about the importance of promoting fire safety.
At this point we will list all the relevant legislation in the UK.
The next section will be about complying with risk assessments provided by your individual employer.
This will be followed by a section informing about the procedure for responding to accidents and sudden illness and providing basic life support to the person you support.
We will also inform safely supporting the individual with any medication and healthcare tasks.
The next section will be about safe handling of any domestic hazardous substances.
Finally, we will inform you about the need to work safely and securely, putting neither yourself nor the person you support at undue risk.
