Description

Welcome to the Halo Staffing blended course for managers providing effective supervision.

We will begin this course with an explanation of the purpose and the functions of supervision.

From there, we’ll move on to the benefits of conducting regular supervisions.

After that, the benefits of managing the performance of your staff will be described.

The fourth section will cover how to conduct a performance conversation.

Following that, we’ll look at what a supervision template or checklist is.

The next section will be on how to coach staff through supervision conversations.

Understanding how to prepare for supervision will be the topic covered after that.

From there, tips that can be used to help improve the quality of your feedback will be touched on.

We will follow that up with information on how to deal with conflicts that may occur during supervision.

The tenth section will cover documenting the supervision, and what should be included within that documentation.

Following on from that, we will cover the behaviours and skills needed for sensitive or complicated conversations.

The strategies and tools required for open and supported discussions will be touched on next.

Understanding how to encourage two-way conversations will be the topic after that.

Afterwards, we’ll look at what positive reinforcement is, and how best to use it.

The second-to-last section will be on the importance of personal and professional development.

Finally, we’ll look at what wellbeing and emotional support is.
