Description

Welcome to the Halo Staffing course on Safeguarding Adults (Level 1). This course has been designed according to the guidelines of Skills for Health.

We begin this course with an explanation of safeguarding adults.

From there we will describe your role and responsibilities in safeguarding adults.

We then list out the main types of abuse.

The next section is about identifying what constitutes as harm, abuse and neglect.

We then describe why an individual may be vulnerable to harm or abuse.

The next topic is about identifying potential indicators, signs of harm, abuse or neglect.

We will also inform you who you should report to if you notice that an individual has been abused.

Finally, we will inform you about the legislation relevant to safeguarding adults.
