Welcome to the Halo Staffing Care Workforce Pathway eLearning course on Understanding your role as a Personal Assistant (PA).
We will begin this course by establishing some basic terminology.
We will then inform you about the values and behaviours expected from you as a personal assistant (PA).
We will also inform you about the list of legislations and guidelines to be observed in the UK.
At this point, we will explain the role and list out the responsibilities of a PA.
The next section will inform you about the working relationship between you and the person you support.
We will also you about working in ways that have been agreed with your individual employer and/or the person you support (IE or not).
Finally, we will inform you how to develop your own knowledge and skills be a successful personal assistant.
