- Responsible – This is one of the most important skills you can have, not just within care but in life. You’ll be responsible for another person and therefore they will depend on you to carry out all tasks and promises, not only this but you’ll be offering security as well.
- Adaptable – Every day won’t be the same and you’ll be faced with new challenges which is why being able to adapt to every situation is key when working in care.
- Reliable – As a carer, you will be responsible for things such as, hygiene, cooking, chores, medical appointments and so much more. Which means that you must carry out all tasks confidently and efficiently.
- Enthusiastic – Being able to brighten someone’s day if something that many people take for granted or don’t think about. You’ll be responsible for various tasks, some that can make people feel vulnerable and therefore, being able to make someone do something as simple as smile is so important.
