Welcome to Halo Staffing Care Certificate Standards: Standard 1 – Understand Your Role.

We will begin by exploring the key duties, responsibilities and expectations associated with your role in health and social care. You will gain an understanding of the professional standards, codes of conduct and agreed ways of working that help ensure safe, effective and high-quality care for the people you support.

Throughout this course, we will help you reflect on how your personal values, beliefs and experiences can influence your practice, while also explaining your employment rights and responsibilities. We will introduce the aims, objectives and values of your organisation and show how these contribute to delivering person-centred care and support.

We will also explore the importance of following workplace policies and procedures, explain your responsibilities to individuals and others involved in their care, and highlight opportunities for ongoing learning, professional development and career progression within the health and social care sector.
