Welcome to the Halo Staffing face to face course on Wound care.
We will begin this course with an explanation of the anatomy of our skin and its function in our body.
After that, we will inform you how to recognise different types of wounds.
We will then focus on skin tear and inform you how to identify them, what is the treatment pathway and how to prevent more of these happening in the future.
The next section will inform you about the list of relevant legislations in the UK, the guidelines and protocols set by the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT).
At this point, we will inform you about the importance of infection control measures in preventing complications associated with wound care.
The following section will inform you about the process of wound assessment, dressing and management.
The next two sections will be about pressure ulcers and how to support service users experiencing pain due to wounds.
Having done that, we will then inform you about the process, stages and risks involved in the healing of wounds.
The next section will be about the importance of documentation associated with wound care.
The following section will focus on escalation and reporting of any issues.
And finally, we will inform you how to support the service users in maintaining good skin care and integrity.

Course Duration:
Face-2-Face session will be delivered at your location for up to 16 attendees. Cost of this course is for all 16 attendees.
eLearning: 3 hours.
Face to Face session: Equivalent to a one day course.
