Welcome to the Halo Staffing Advanced Medication Management Face-to-Face course.
We will begin this course by explaining the importance of a care home medicines policy.
We will then introduce the concept of Medicines Management.
This will be promptly followed by a discussion about your role and responsibilities in medication management.
We will then explain the importance of record keeping.
MAR chart and its significance will be our next topic.
We will then describe the principles of safe administration of medicines.
The next topic will explore why things go wrong and what action should be taken at that time.
Finally, we will describe how medicines should be handled, record kept, and how to safely destroy medicines which are no longer required.
