Welcome to the Halo Staffing Care Workforce Pathway eLearning course on Understanding how to assist and move people safely.

We will begin this course with an explanation of the anatomy and physiology of our body especially in relation to moving and positioning individuals.

Having done that, we will inform you about hazards, risks, risk assessment and measures to be taken to minimise the risk while moving and positioning individuals.

At this point we will inform you about the list of relevant legislations in the UK.

The next topic will focus on the equipment that may be required to move people safely.

We will then inform you how to move and position people safely in order to avoid any manual handling injuries to you and the individual.

Finally, we will inform you when to seek advice and/or assistance from others with regards to moving and positioning an individual.
